P&H Scanner APPLICATION description
Palmer and Harvey is the UK's largest full range delivered wholesaler in the convenience, forecourt and CTN retail market. We deliver to every UK postcode 6 days a week: deliveries are free, fast and
reliable, combining chilled, frozen and ambient products.
Introduction
The P&H Scanner app is for use by our business customers who are registered for online ordering.
Free yourself from your computer when ordering online with Palmer and Harvey by using your phone’s camera to scan barcodes on any product or your shelf-edge labels to build a list of items.
With our P&H Scanner app you can build lists of products very easily. Once your list is made, send it straight into our new online ordering system to check prices, add other lists of items, or to simply send your order immediately. Or you can simply use the app to manage lists to help with your in-store stock management and shelf replenishment.
Your mobile device needs to be connected to the internet to enable the app to find product information and to show images of the products that you scan.
With the P&H Scanner app from Palmer and Harvey you'll be able to:
- Find items immediately using the built-in barcode scanner via the camera: use the scanner in your store, in other stores or anywhere you need to add it to your list.
- Easily add items to your list and change the number of cases of any items already there
- Upload the list to our Online Ordering System to convert the list into a new order and to check out whenever you are ready
- Use the app for your full order, top-up orders or to place orders for a small number of items: we'll combine orders into one delivery where we can.
General Features Of The App
You may clear your list entirely at any time on the app by clicking the three dots at the top of the screen. Then select “Clear List” and confirm.
There is usually no need to logout of the app even if you have different linked accounts; you can choose which one to upload to each time you create a list. If you share your phone with other people you may wish to Logout each time you are finished. To do so, click the three dots at the top of the screen. Then select “Log Out” and confirm.
Other Important Information
Note that the app also works in conjunction with any Bluetooth barcode scanner if you would like to scan that way instead. Use your phone’s method for finding Bluetooth devices and pair your phone with your handheld or counter-top scanner. Ensure you click in the “Scan Barcode” box at the top of the list first.
Prices shown online are estimates: your invoice will show the correct value you will be charged. Promotion availability is dependent on the date of delivery and you may not receive promotional prices or promotional items if your delivery falls outside the promotional dates. We will endeavour to entirely fulfill your order, but you may find some lines substituted or omitted due to circumstances beyond our control. Please contact your account manager to arrange restrictions on price marked products or general substitutions.
Please note you must already be a Palmer and Harvey customer to be able to shop with us and you must be registered for online ordering with our new website launched in 2017 to be able to login to the app. Your login details for the old Palmer and Harvey transactional website will not work with this app. See our Terms and Conditions on our website. By downloading the P&H Scanner app you agree to the usual Terms and Conditions of your account, which apply to your use of any of our ordering systems.
