About Pipe Hydraulics
Pipe Hydraulics App is developed to assist engineers for a quick calculation for common thermal-hydraulic parameters based on process data, media properties, pipe dimensions, valves and fittings and other obstructions involved in the flow circuit.
In addition to pressure drop and heat transfer coefficient, the App also calculates several other dimensional and non-dimensional parameters which are useful for evaluating a process. These include media property data, Reynolds number, Prandtl number, Nusselt number, friction factor, surface shear stress, etc.
Through a graphical picker, you can select a pipe size from a list of standard NPS pipes, and the App will automatically determine the inside diameter based on pipe ND and pipe schedule. In addition, user can optionally query typical surface roughness values for a list of commonly used pipe materials.
User can choose preferred input and output units directly besides each input box and on the result panel.
