This app presents a reliable system for home automation in cooperation with the Arduino UNO microcontroller. It uses a local Wi-Fi to make your home wirelessly operable and provides accessibility to control the devices by only the authorized users.
This proposed system uses an ESP8266 Wi-Fi module along with the android app and the Arduino UNO to provide connectivity between the system and the devices. It can help the users to operate their devices like light, fan, etc. on just the voice commands.
This system also has two IR sensors which detect the number of persons going in and out of the room. So, if there is no one inside room, no devices will be turned on regardless of the command which therefore makes the system cost effective.
We have tested our system in real world environment. In future, we can have better security and voice access to entertainment as well as communication domains.
