Pollet’s Martial Arts Centre offers a number of programs and instruction in Traditional Karate, Okinawan Kobudo, Muay Thai, Kempo Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, Self Defense, MMA, Cage Fighting and Physical Fitness. All of our 8 full-time locations are open 6 days a week and we have different programs available from 2 year olds, School Children, Government Departments, Adults and Families.
Founder and Master Instructor Hanshi Ian Pollet has more than 40 years experience in the martial arts industry and he leads a team of over 20 qualified instructors. Our male and female instructors have many years professional experience in both teaching and competing in the martial arts industry. Professional facilites including Boxing Rings, Training Rings, MMA Cages, Punching Bags, Shields, Grappling Dummies, Cardio Equipment and complete matted training areas for Karate and Jiu Jitsu are found in our main full-time locations. All Pollet’s Martial Arts Centre full-time locations are amongst the best equipped Dojo’s in the country.
Our 6 professional full time Martial Arts Centres are located in Bathurst, Orange, Dubbo, Granville, Penrith, Castle Hill, Newcastle and the Gold Coast in addition to part time facilities in Cudal, Spring Hill, Blayney, Grenfell, Forbes, Eugowra, Mullion Creek & Cowra - Pollet’s Martial Arts Centre is the largest Martial Arts organisation in the Central West.
We run professional accredited grading systems in four different martial arts disciplines, Okinawan Karate, Okinawan Kobudo, Muay Thai and Kempo Jiu Jitsu. Our Black Belt students grades in Okinawan Karate and Kobudo are registered under the World Okinawan Karate and Kobudo Association in Okinawa and our Muay Thai grades are registered by the Royal Thai Government in Thailand.
Seminars
Hanshi Ian Pollet conducts numerous seminars throughout the year. Some areas covered in his seminars are as follows: - Kobujutsu - Kyusho Jitsu - Jiu Jitsu & Grappling - Street Awareness Training - Tournament Training - Traditional Kata Training - Competition Kata Training - Koshiki & Point Fighting - Muay Thai - Security Personnel Training.
World Tournaments
Hanshi Ian Pollet has been the ISKA Grand World Champion in Traditional Forms since 2008. He defended, and won the prestigious event again in October 2011.
Pollet’s Martial Arts Students have opportunities to travel all around the world. Travels have seen Pollet’s Students training and competing in South Africa, Okinawa, Thailand, USA, Taiwan and Brazil.
