Popli Live APPLICATION description
One stop destination for Gurbani Kirtan Videos
We are a small team of 50+ members, working day and night towards bringing the holy Gurbani to the people belonging to Sikh population present across the globe, our team which comprises of singers, technicians, musicians, cameramen, marketers and distributors. At present we are operating at state level and our operations are limited only to Uttar Pradesh. Punjab, Harayana and Himachal Pradesh are next in our scheme of things.Currently we have a stock of some 850+ videos which is only set to grow in the time to come.
How it all started?
We always wanted to do something for my community mainly towards bringing people close to the religion and we thought that people will automatically come close and try to connect spiritually if they see something which would build interest in the religion and help them make a connection with our Waheguru Guru Nanak Sahib. We always had this hobby of recording videos of the holy Gurbani. We had been doing it ever since 2006. One day while talking to Mr. S. Raghubeer Singh, who is not only my father but also my main source of inspiration, started telling me how we are so fortunate to be in a position to witness the holy Gurbani wheneverwe want and on the other side there are so many like us who live abroad or in such places where they don’t have appropriate means to listen to Gurbani. Listening to this I told him why don’t we help them in bridging this gap and work towards bringing them close to Waheguru and helping them in strengthening the bond of love and trust with the Almighty, and the enquiry that came from his side was that how are we going to do that ?
Just then this idea struck my mind and I told him it is very simple we will record the holy Gurbani every time we go out to listen to it and will ask our friends to the same. I told him that 7 of us have already recorded around a dozen videos on our cell phones. It has almost been 8 years since then from 12 videos today we have a stock of some 845 odd videos.
The next step was developing a website purely dedicated towards bringing these videos exclusively to our brothers and sisters across the globe. With the grace of Waheguru, Popli Live has been doing pretty well ever since its inception and we are hopeful that we will continue working towards connecting you to Waheguru.
