¤ જીવ બચાવવો.
¤ વધુ ઇજા કે બીમારી થતી અટકાવવી.
¤ દુ:ખાવા અથવા બીજા લક્ષણોમાં રાહત અપાવવી.
¤ શકય તેટલી વહેલી તબીબી સારવારની વ્યવસ્થા કરવી.
