The Qur'an is a beautiful book because it is the word of Allah.
Memorizing even a few surahs from the Qur'an will bring you great rewards in the Hereafter.

That is why it is important to know exactly how to successfully memorize ayahs from the Qur'an.

Read the sora you want to memorize.
Familiarize yourself not only with the Arabic but also the translation.
This should help you understand the verse(s) in context, and should make it easier to remember.

Recite the ayah three times while looking at the Qur'an.
Read it carefully, looking at every letter and sign.
If you have a colour-coded Qur'an, utilize the colours by perfecting your Tajweed (elocution).

Move on to the next ayah and follow the same steps outlined above.
Recite the first and second ayahs together from memory.
