RADIO BBSI

Le trasmissioni in FM di Radio B.B.S.I. sulla frequenza dei 101.500 MHz prendono il via ufficialmente alle ore 17.05. del 22/11/ 1976 nella sede di Corso Acqui 42, nei locali al piano terra, composti da due vani. Viene recuperato un trasmettitore usato e issato il palo dell'antenna a soli due dipoli con l'aiuto dei primi DJ volontari. La cabina di trasmissione è autocostruita, un piccolo studio che d'estate è un forno di calore con un ventilatore per rinfrescare. Al momento di accendere, una persona va in auto a controllare fino dove arriva il segnale. I primi DJ sono Bob (proprietario e fondatore), Enrica, Luciano 1 e Luciano 2, Giorgio, Gianni Tagliafico. Dopo alcuni mesi gli studi vengono trasferiti nel palazzo di fronte al posto di un mobilificio al N. 39 di Corso Acqui, anche lì nei locali al piano terra con le vetrate che danno sulla strada (attuale sede).
Il termine B.B.S.I. è composto dalle iniziali di “Bob Broadcasting System International dal nome di Bob il fondatore dell’emittente. Il simbolo della radio è un lupacchiotto che si ispira al marchio di una nota radio francese molto popolare oltralpe, non per niente radio B.B.S.I. ha come slogan “C’est naturel”.
