Rapido APPLICATION description
1. What is RAPIDO?
RAPIDO is the Philippines ultimate app for emergency services. When you select the type of emergency you need, we automatically check for your current location then automatically call the nearest emergency provider. Note: If you are not located in the Philippines, please do not use this app.
2. Do I need to be online?
Yes. You need to have reliable internet connection when using Rapido. WiFi or mobile data.
3. Do I need to use GPS?
Ideally yes, but in case RAPIDO cannott locate you, you do have the option to manually enter your current location.
4. Is this app free?
This app is 100% free to download and free to use. Your mobile carrier may charge you for voice calls made. Please note though that the SOS service is a paid premium service.
5. How do I use this app?
In an emergency, simply launch the app and tap on Police, Ambulance, or Fire. Your phone dialer will then launch as it attempts to call the nearest emergency provider. It’s that easy!
6. What is the SOS button?
The SOS button offers the premium RAPIDO service. A live agent will answer your call and immediately assist you. It is patterned after the 9-11 service of the United States.
7. How much is the SOS service?
Only PHP99.00 valid for 30 days. This is in Philippine pesos. You will be charged on your phone bill. Open to Globe and TM subscribers for now.
8. How do I pay for the SOS service?
This will be charged to your mobile phone bill. If you are a prepaid subscriber, this will be deducted against your prepaid balance.
9. Who can avail of the SOS service?
As of today, only Globe Telecom and TM subscribers can avail of the SOS service. We will be offering the same to Smart and Sun subscribers very soon.
10. How do I stop my subscription to the SOS Rapido premium service?
Please text STOP to 21588518. This is free of charge.
