Ratib Al Haddad

Ratib Al-Haddad ini diambil dari nama penyusunnya, Yakni Imam Abdullah bin Alawi Al-Haddad, seorang pembaharu Islam (mujaddid) yang terkenal. Dari doa-doa dan zikir-zikir karangan dan susunan beliau, Ratib Al-Haddad lah yang paling terkenal dan masyhur. Ratib yang bergelar Al-Ratib Al-Syahir (Ratib Yang Termasyhur) disusun berdasarkan inspirasi, pada malam Lailatul Qadar 27 Ramadhan 1071 Hijriyah (bersamaan 26 Mei 1661).

Ratib ini disusun atas permintaan salah seorang murid beliau, ‘Amir dari keluarga Bani Sa’d yang tinggal di sebuah kampung di Shibam, Hadhramaut. Tujuan ‘Amir membuat permintaan tersebut untuk mengadakan suatu wirid dan zikir untuk amalan penduduk kampungnya agar mereka dapat mempertahan dan menyelamatkan diri dari ajaran sesat yang sedang melanda Hadhramaut ketika itu.

Ratib Al-Haddad is taken from the name of the constituent, namely Imam Abdullah bin Alawi Al-Haddad, a Muslim reformer (mujaddid) famous.
