Reginarum Itineraria

Reginarum itineraria es una aplicación que recoge aquellos vestigios históricos que de nuestro pasado medieval se conservan vinculados a la biografía de aquellas mujeres que han sobrevivido al paso del tiempo.
Han sido muchos los nombres de varones que han pasado a la Historia como los protagonistas de los grandes hechos y las grandes batallas; todo lo contrario a lo ocurrido con el sexo femenino, mujeres que no sólo han quedado marginadas de las páginas de los libros de texto sino que, en demasiadas ocasiones, han sido ignoradas y desdeñadas por los historiadores, y por tanto, no han logrado encontrar su hueco en la mentalidad colectiva de la sociedad.
El eje de partida de este proyecto se encuentra en cuatro figuras señeras de la corona de Castilla y León: Urraca I de León, Leonor de Plantagenet, Berenguela de Castilla y Violante de Aragón. La visibilización de estas mujeres cuyas vidas transcurrieron por los items aquí indicados ayudará a fomentar el conocimiento de nuestro pasado desde otro punto de vista. Reginarum itineraria is an application that collects those historical vestiges of our past are preserved medieval linked to the biography of women who have survived the passage of time.
There have been many names of men who have gone down in history as the protagonists of the great facts and great battles; the opposite of what happened with the female sex, women have not only been marginalized from the pages of textbooks but, too often, have been ignored and neglected by historians, and thus have failed to find its place in the collective mentality of society.
The axis of departure for this project is in four leading figures in the crown of Castile and Leon: Magpie I of Leon, Leonor de Plantagenet, Violante Berenguela of Castile and Aragon. The visibility of these women whose lives were spent for the items listed here will help raise awareness of our past from another point of view.
