Reik es una banda mexicana de Mexicali, Baja California formada por Jesús Alberto Navarro Rosas (vocalista), Julio Ramírez Eguía (guitarra / vocal) y Gilberto Marín Espinoza (guitarra). El nombre del grupo en realidad significa "rastrillo" (como en rastrillar las cuerdas de la guitarra), pero la banda quería que sus oyentes mexicanos lo pronunciaran correctamente, por lo tanto, Reik.

En 2003, Abelardo Vázquez finalizó su proyecto musical naciente, llamado provisionalmente "Reik". Abelardo Vázquez invitó a Jesús Navarro y Julio Ramírez a grabar sus primeras demos, que fueron lanzadas a través de la escena underground mexicana. Dos de las demostraciones más exitosas - "Levemente" y "Ahora Sin Ti" - trajeron una cobertura más extendida a través de México. A principios de 2004, Reik invitó a Gilberto a unirse a la banda. The group's name actually means "rake" (as in raking guitar strings), but the band wanted his Mexican listeners will pronounce it correctly, therefore Reik.

In 2003, Abelardo Vázquez ended his nascent musical project, tentatively called "Reik".
