Why? This permission is required by the app to know whether there is an incoming call, and if there is one then the app starts blinking the phone's LED flash.
Is it required? YES. If this permission is revoked(by Android 6+ users), the app will not work.
c> android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED
Why? This permission is required by the app to restart itself on device reboot.
Marshmallow(6.0) or Above Users
If you are using android 6.0 or above, you will have to EXPLICITLY GRANT android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE and android.permission.CAMERA to the app when starting the app(If asked). If this is not done, the app will not work.
