Dunia Terbalik adalah program series komedi yang mengangkat cerita tentang para suami yang ditinggalkan istrinya untuk bekerja di luar negeri. Dimulai dari kisah Akum, Aceng, Idoy dan satu musuh bebuyutan Aceng, Dadang. Mereka harus mendidik anak serta mengurus urusan rumah tangga yang biasanya menjadi urusan para wanita. Sementara istrinya harus menafkahi keluarga.

Dadang merupakan salah satu suami yang beruntung karena istrinya mendapatkan penghasilan paling besar diantara para TKW yang lain. Keberuntungan inilah yang kemudian membuatnya menjadi sering pamer harta kekayaan dan membuat Aceng iri hati. Dengan berbagai cara Aceng selalu ingin membuat Dadang kalah, namun sayangnya kadang Aceng malah terkena batunya. Akum dan Idoy-lah yang menjadi penengah agar situasi tidak semakin panas.

Desa Cikadu sebagai penyalur TKW terbanyak tidak lepas dari peran Yoyoh sang calo TKW. Ia giat membujuk rayu para calon TKW agar mau ke luar negeri dengan iming-iming penghasilan yang besar. Salah satu warga yang selalu ia pengaruhi adalah Kokom. Kokom yang kehidupannya serba pas-pasan bahkan berkekurangan ingin bisa hidup berada seperti layaknya warga Cikadu yang menjadi TKW. Ia ingin mengambil alih tugas mencari nafkah dengan bekerja di luar negeri. Namun Koswara, suami Kokom tidak seperti suami pada umumnya di desa Cikadu. Koswara sama sekali tidak mengizinkan Kokom bekerja di luar negeri, karena menurutnya yang bertugas mencari nafkah adalah suami, sesulit apapun kondisinya. Masalah inilah yang kemudian memicu konflik berkepanjangan dalam rumah tangga mereka.

Untuk menyelesaikan masalah-masalah yang dihadapi, seringkali warga desa Cikadu meminta nasihat pada Pak Kemed atau yang lebih sering dipanggil ustadz Kemed. Layaknya seorang ustadz, warga desa menjadikannya panutan. Sayangnya Pak Kemed bukanlah ustadz yang mengandalkan kitab suci dalam setiap ajaran yang disampaikan, melainkan Google!
