Sherix Webradio

Sherix Webradio is an idea born out of passion and fascination with music. Within the fascination, was this silent quest to create a platform where Africans will converge at any time, and from any part of the world, to listen to sweet African music, get information and education on topics that have direct or indirect impact on their lives.

Having thought this through, it was done. Today, there is Sherix Webradio that broadcasts over the Internet at 128kbps, with no latency or jitter - CD quality audio. It is now a place where discussions are held with African artists, promote their talents, discuss ideas and find solutions to problems. For example, during the Ebola crisis in West African, awareness was raised among the people. It is Africans' community radio. In Kailahun, it's called, "Kailahun Court Barrie".

For all of this to come together, it was as a result of the tremendous opportunity created by the Internet, the motivation and drive by African technocrats, and the moral support from the listening community. Looking ahead, there will be a Sherix Webradio that will eventually become the most credible education and information source among Africans. It will also be the first school on the radio in Sierra Leone specifically.
