Berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Pendayagunaan Aparatur Negera dan RB No. 22 Tahun 2017 tentang Nilai Ambang Batas SKD CPNS Tahun2017, peserta harus memenuhi nilai ambang batas 143 untuk Tes
Karakteristik Pribadi; 80 untuk Tes Intelegensia Umum; dan 75 untuk Tes Wawasan Kebangsaan.
Dalam peraturan lain, ditentukan bahwa jumlah peserta yang dapat mengikuti tes lanjutan, yaitu Seleksi Kompetensi Bidang(SKB), paling banyak tiga kali jumlah kebutuhan masing-masing jabatan berdasarkan peringkat nilai yang telah memenuhi ambang batas.
