Slow Rock Malaysia Lawas

Belum diketahui secara pasti kapan bermulanya atau diperkenalkannya musik beraliran rock di Malaysia. Dari informasi yang di peroleh, kemungkinan kemunculan musik beraliran rock di Malaysia dimulai pada tahun 1980 an, hal ini di karenakan pengaruh kuat dari perkembangan musik rock barat tahun 70-80an yang beraliran Glam Rock, Metal dan Heavy Metal.
Tahun 1988-1993 menjadi puncak kejayaan musik rock di Malaysia hal ini ditandai dengan banyaknya band-band beraliran rock, seperti: Xpdc, Gamma, Medicine, Terra Rosa, Dinamik, Ella and The Boys, Massa dan banyak lagi. Diwaktu yang sama Singapura ikut pula memunculkan band-band yang beraliran rock, diantaranya: Love Hunter, Bumi Putra Rockers, justice, Aces,Obilion, Rusty Blade, Helter Skelter, dan lain-lain. Penyanyi wanita juga banyak bermunculan yang mengusung irama rock (awek rockers) mulai dari yang solo ataupun band diantaranya:Ella and The Boys, Shima, Wahnen, LordJustice dan lain-lain.
