ศูนย์ข้อมูลอสังหาริมทรัพย์เป็นหน่วยงานกลางของประเทศที่ทำหน้าที่หลักในการจัดเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลอสังหาริมทรัพย์ต่าง ๆ ของประเทศมาประมวลผลเป็นข้อมูลสถิติในภาพรวมและทำการเผยแพร่โดยรวดเร็วและทันเหตุการณ์
ภารกิจของศูนย์ข้อมูลอสังหาริมทรัพย์มี 5 ด้าน คือ
- เป็นศูนย์กลางรวบรวมและพัฒนาข้อมูลด้านอสังหาริมทรัพย์และข้อมูลประกอบด้านอื่นๆ
- เป็นศูนย์สำรวจวิจัยและวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเพื่อประเมินสถานการณ์และแนวโน้มของอสังหาริมทรัพย์
- เป็นศูนย์พยากรณ์อุปสงค์ อุปทาน และราคาของอสังหาริมทรัพย์
- เป็นศูนย์เผยแพร่และให้บริการข้อมูลสารสนเทศที่เกี่ยวกับอสังหาริมทรัพย์
- เป็นศูนย์ให้บริการคำปรึกษาและพัฒนาความรู้เกี่ยวกับข้อมูลอสังหาริมทรัพย์
