Established in 2011, Frontier Markets aims to broaden rural communities’ access to high impact products and services through a consumer-centric platform with e-commerce, women entrepreneurs, and a local distribution supply chain. The company trains and empowers women to sell and service solar power solutions, mobility, finance and other appliances to rural communities. Our mission is to create ‘Saral Jeevan’ or an ‘Easy Life’ for rural customers, who do not have affordable electricity, by providing them with access to quality solar, water, health, home appliances solutions through their network of digitized rural women businesses. 100+ employees, 10,000 Digital Savvy Women Entrepreneurs, 700,000 rural customers (and growing!!)

Frontier Markets has built a proven and scalable model partnering with Indian SHG networks to onboard 3,000 women entrepreneurs that are trained in marketing, sales, data collection and technical repair, to provide innovative solutions to sell to rural households using smart phones and internet connectivity impacting 4.5 Million people, and helping them earn an average of $1,000/- annually. Our customer base is 700,000 households, and we've sold over 1 million products now.
