The description BitTorrent Sync Apk

Sync lets you transfer files directly from device to device. Share photos, videos, docs without storage limits: our technology works especially well with huge files.

Create your own private cloud. Connect devices and sync files securely between your Mac, PC, NAS, and even server. Use Sync on your mobile to access the files you keep on your home computer or work laptop.

Sync encrypts all files during transfer and never stores any of your information on third-party servers. This means your data is protected against identity theft or attacks.

No storage limits
• Sync as much data as you have on your hard drive or SD card.
• Add large files of any size to your synced folders and transfer them up to 16x faster than the cloud.

Automatic camera backup
• Sync will back up photos and videos as soon as you take them.
• You can then delete photos from your phone and save space.
• Set up backup of any info from your phone to a folder on your computer.

Any device and platform
• Access folders and upload files to your tablet, PC, Mac, NAS, and even server from anywhere.

Direct transfers, no cloud
• Your information is never stored on servers in the cloud, so nobody can access it without your permission.
• Transfer files directly and fast using peer-to-peer technology (p2p).
• Connect two devices by taking picture of a QR code, even if you are in local network without internet connection.

Save space
• Selective Sync lets you save only the files you need.
• Clear synced files to free up space on your device.

Supports all file types
• Sync photos, videos, music, PDFs, docs and books library to your Android phone or tablet.

To get the best performance and to avoid running up your data charges while syncing folders, we recommend leaving the "Use Cellular Data" setting off.

Note: BitTorrent Sync is a personal file syncing manager. It is not compatible with torrent file sharing applications.

If all you want to do is sync a folder over to an empty folder it's fine, however if you have large multi gigabyte folders already in both places its a complete let down. There's no way to use existing folders on the target without force, it fails to sync everything leaving handfuls of files undone constantly indexing, then only puts placeholders when adding new files to source leaving actual file unsynced. Wasted SO MUCH TIME. If BT Sync was a physical thing I would be smashing it with a hammer right now.

This app has been a big time saver. Keeps folders in sync between multiple phones tablets and PCs. I don't need to put stuff in the cloud. And the best of all it also syncs deletes! Something I needed for sure. The only minor issue is though it shows number of files synced on an android it does not do the same on a pc.

Very simple to be able to grab files from my devices or backup files or notes from my mobile devices back to my laptop and desktop. I've been using it a lot to keep music and code (Verilog, Python, and C) files backed up. Love how simple it is on Android. I would be willing to buy the app for a one time fee but I hope they never ask us for a subscription.

My biggest problem I have is it seems I must keep my phone focused on this app with the screen on for downloads to work. This may be a problem with my phone/other apps conflicting, still testing and trying to find that one out. Problem 2 is that sometimes the app thinks it finished downloading a file when it wasn't actually done resulting in a corrupted file then the app notices that the file is different from the one on my PC and updates it making the file on both my phone and PC corrupted. Been using Sync for several months. Impressed but wish it had better notifications for example if a source goes offline or the network connection drops below a certain performance criteria. Frustrated by the limited sorting... It seems to default to alphabetical regardless of the sort and no way to change it. But still worth an install to have access to my files with minimal involvement with cloud services. Not sure if it's a bug or a feature but since changing to Samsung Galaxy S7 flv files don't play.

Vastly improved in past few months. Addition of personal licenses is great. Reliability seems greatly enhanced on my Moto X 2014, and I am finding more often than not that I am not having to remind sync to actually sync. Looking forward to see what future updates hold.

Unreliable, closed source, and nothing like the original free version. The "free" version is crippled. BitTorrent Inc are no longer to be trusted. Embarrassed that I recommended this to people a few years ago. Also buggy and poorly tested, since they rely on users to test their app, as seen from their replys to negative comments here. I sincerely suggest that you avoid this software.

This app is incredibly easy to use as a tool to set up multi-way synchronization. The UI is a bit hard to use, as it doesn't seem to flow well, and its behaviour can be a bit confusing when you're new and - for instance - you forget you set it NOT to synch when the battery isn't full; that kind of thing will have you tearing your hair out and appealing to the BT gods for a clue as to why your stuff's Just Not Synching. It's frustrating, but keep with it! However, this app is a sealed black box, with no inter-operability with other apps. You can't trust it's secure, you can't use it with any apps outside its walled garden (remember BITNET? yeah), and you can't be sure someone else can't see your documents. So don't use it with anything plaintext, nefarious or embarrassing. Oh: And every freakin' day, if you've installed the PC version of this on your desktop - which is really required, you'll find, or synch won't work well - you'll get another freakin' pop-up asking if you want to update again, again, again, again and again. If you tell it to stop, you'll see it tomorrow. Use this until SyncThing sheds its training wheels. Then bail.

So sad. Synchronisation corrupts files. I have now several times downloaded (sync'ed) a set 34 pictures each time a few are corrupted. On the windows computer there is also an issues of delete files reappearing as files with file size zero bytes. Hence, all in all, still a very unreliable software. But such brilliant concept.
