Terjemah Kitab Ihya Ulumuddin APPLICATION description
Terhitung, hanya tiga redaksi Hadits yang diklaim maudhu` oleh al-Hafizh al-`Iraqi ketika mentakhrij lebih dari empat ribu lima ratus hadis yang ditampilkan Imâm Ghâzali dalam kitab Ihya’-nya.
“Bilangan tersebut sangatlah kecil tutur al-`Irâqi. Lebih-lebih, apabila kita memandang jumlah Hadits yang ditampilkan oleh Imâm Ghâzali secara keseluruhan. Setidaknya, kuantitas hadits Imam Ghazali
dalam kitab Ihyâ’-nya telah setingkat dengan beberapa kitab sunan, semisal Sunan Abî Dâwud, Sunan Nasâ’i, dan bahkan dapat dikatakan melebihi bilangan hadits yang terdapat dalam Sunan Ibnu Mâjah.
Lebih lanjut, al-`Irâqi juga memberikan sebuah pembelaan bahwa sebagaian dari Hadits maudhû` tadi disampaikan tanpa memakai shîghat riwayat. Sehingga, dalam studi methodologi Hadits, Imâm Ghâzali tidak dapat diposisikan sebagai perawi yang mendapat ancaman dari baginda nabi Muhammad Shollallohu 'Alaihi Wasallam.
