Hi, I'm Gemma - Chief Creative Championeer at The Trailblazers Academy.

I set up aplaceforcreation.com back in 2013 to help creatives remain at the peak of their creative powers. I have now extended this to The Trailblazers Academy to open the work I do with artists and designers to people who run businesses in all walks of creativity.
Being creative can be both the epitome of happiness and extremely hard work with a ton of stress to go with it. Whether you are trying to figure out how to bring your creativity out into the world or if you are working a full-time job and trying to build a creative business, it can be really tough. When I graduated in 2009 I was so excited to go out into the world, find a creative job and then start working on building my own business but the reality was that the recession had barely passed and finding any type of job was difficult. Eventually, jobs came and went but I was slowly losing my creativity and ended up working in a corporate job that I hated. I mean it totally killed my creativity. I had no time for it, no space for it, no energy for it and I was super unhappy about it all.
So… I made it my mission to help other creatives to STAY creative, be happy about it and map out the path for it. I am huge believer in grabbing hold of your creative flair with both hands and steering it in a direction that suits you rather than letting other factors steer it for you!
