Ik ben geen pure wetenschapper. Ik volg alle ontwikkelingen in mijn rechtsgebied op de voet maar sta zelf liever in het veld. Mijn kracht is dat ik van mensen hou. In het arbeidsrecht is dat een groot voordeel want daar draait het voornamelijk om, mensen. Ik voel me persoonlijk betrokken bij mijn cliënten en zorg dat ik de cultuur binnen het bedrijf ken. Dat maakt dat je snel kunt schakelen en samen ook snel tot oplossingen komt. In de praktijk zie ik vaak een te grote afstand tussen cliënt en advocaat. Ik treed niet alleen op als advocaat van werkgevers. Ook werknemers sta ik bij. Ik zie dat als een meerwaarde. Je verliest de nuance niet uit het oog.

Tom Nicolai volgde de postacademische specialisatieopleiding Arbeidsrecht (Grotius). Hij is lid van de Vereniging van Arbeidsrechtadvocaten Nederland en Noord-Nederland en bestuurslid van de Jongeren Commerciële Club Groningen.

I'm not a pure scientist. I follow all developments in my jurisdiction on the foot but prefer to stand in the field. My strength is that I love people. In labor law is a major advantage because it revolves mainly around, people. I feel personally involved with my clients and make sure that I know the culture within the company. This means that you can switch quickly and also comes together quickly to solutions. In practice, I often see a large distance between client and lawyer. I act not only as an advocate of employers. Employees also I stand by. I see that as added value. You lose the nuance out of your sight.

Tom Nicolai attended the postgraduate specialization course in employment law (Grotius). He is a member of the Association of Employment Lawyers Netherlands and northern Netherlands and member of the Youth Business Club Groningen.
