TrackZone APPLICATION description
I. Introduction
‘TrackZone’ is based on the idea of making use of location based alerts. The native app/reminder apps require a predefined trigger for the alert, such as date or time. The user is alerted/reminded when the trigger is reached. However, this does not come handy if you are traveling and would wish to be alerted based on the location that you are about to pass by or passing by. TrackZone makes use of the location of the user as the trigger for the alert to notify the user. By having a location based trigger, the user will receive the alert/reminder when they are close to the destination that required the alert/reminder in the first place.
II. App Description
Our app will utilize the location services of the user’s device to allow them to set location based alerts and reminders. The user will be allowed to enter a destination and a radius around the destination which will act as bounds. When the user gets within the radius, the app will fire the trigger thus alerting the user. In addition to set alerts tagged to a location, the user will also be allowed to add a custom list of things to do at the location, such as when passing by a grocery store, if the alert has a grocery list added to it. Then the user will be prompted to view the grocery list.
