His full name is Abdullah Zaen bin Zaeni Muhajjat. Born in Purwokerto on July 1, 1980. After completing basic education in TK Pertiwi and SD Kejawar I Banyumas, he continued his education at Pondok Modern ar-Risalah Slahung Ponorogo East Java and Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor Ponorogo East Java. He also had his education at the Islamic Faculty of Islamic Institute Darussalam Gontor.
After that he studied in the city of the Prophet precisely at the Islamic University of Madinah. Taking a major in hadith and being banned by Islamiyah, he graduated with cum laude in 2004. After graduating from college, Ustadz Abdullah Zaen then continued his S2 education by taking Aqidah majors in the same place and graduating in 2009. In addition to formal study at the Islamic University of Madinah, Ustadz Abdullah Zaen also sat studying with the Madinah scholars. Among them are Shaykh Abdul Muhsin bin Hamd al-'Abbâd where ustadz Abdullah Zaen studied the book Sunan Abi Dâwûd, part of Sunan at-Tirmidhi, al-Arba'in an-Nawawiyyah and part of Sunan Ibn Mâjah.
In addition ustadz Abdullah Zaen also sat with Shaykh Prof. Dr. Ibrahim bin 'Âmir ar-Ruhaili and reviewed the book: al-Ushûl ats-Tsalâtsah, Kashf asy-Syubuhât, al-Qawâ'id al-Arba', Books at-Tauhîd, Kitab al-Îmân li Abi 'Ubaid al-Qâsim bin Sallâm, part of the Book of al-Qadar li Ibn Wahb, part of the Book of as-Sunnah li al-Khallāl, Kitab al-I'tiqâd li Ibn Abi Ya'la, Syarh as-Sunnah li al-Muzani, Mauqif Ahl as-Sunnah Ahl al-Ahwâ 'wa al-Bida', part of Riyâdh ash-Shâlihîn, Ushûl as-Sunnah li al-Imam Ahmad, part of at-Tadmuriah and part of al-Hamawiyah.
