Las grandes obras y realizaciones de la vida han sido concebidas y encarnadas en la bondad de un ideal, que luego se plasman en realidad para proyectarse por el camino de la historia, trazando rumbos y marcando hitos en beneficio de un sector de la humanidad. José Antonio Villamil Martinez, fundador, soñador, actor y ejecutor del proyecto, con el apoyo de su esposa Berta Benavides, y contando con el apoyo incondicional de Luis Enrique Cárdenas y Miguel Esteban Gómez, llegó al inicio de un proyecto en beneficio de la región. El 15 de enero del año 1983 a las 8:30 de la noche se inicia la primera transmisión que con esfuerzo y grandes vicisitudes se ha mantenido por 32 años de funcionamiento interrumpidos; los hijos, al cumplir la mayoría de edad, se han vinculado a la empresa.
