A marketplace is just like it sounds. It’s not a single store. It’s a collection of stores. Customers walk in and can browse goods from several different vendors. And with the appearance of retail locations came the advent of marketplaces where numerous retailers could gather to attract greater numbers of potential customers. Marketplaces have evolved many times over and have found a new home online, and they continue to be a wonderful resource to online retailers to get their offerings in front of the buying public.

Store Features

Individual stores - Each vendor has their own store with a separate store URL (web address) that helps maintain their privacy from other stores. The vendor can customize the look and feel (logo,color scheme,images) of their store to match with their own branding.

Managing products - Individual products can be added or multiple products can be imported in bulk

Eye catching reports -The vendor dashboard is designed with eye catching reports that are automatically generated. It provides quick clues about inventory, orders and sales in a particular time period.

Coupon management - Coupon management offers multiple features such as creating coupons, limiting the coupon usage (date of expiry), usage(maximum number of times a particular coupon can be used), fixed amount or percentage discount.

Order Management - Order status can be updated like completed, in-progress, shipped.

Customer Support - Customers can contact the vendor directly via support tickets on the vendor store page.

Auctions - Vendor can add auctions (details below)

Search Engine Optimization - Search engine optimization for each store

Vendor Verification System - Authenticity checks are listed on the vendor store. Vendor can also add verified social networks in their store

Store Auctions

Auctions work for customers and vendors alike because everyone involved wins. The vendor wins because they are able to sell their product/item on a timely basis and entertain only real offers that are designed to close and therefore saving dollars in carrying, marketing and management costs.

Auction Features

Start Price: This is the minimum price you want for your product. Bidding will start from here. If you set $10.00 as starting price, the bidding will start at $10.00 and increase each time a customer places a bid.
Bid increment: The amount that each customer will be able to increase each time while bidding. If you set a starting price of $10 and increment to $2, Each time the customers bids, it will increase to $12, $14, $16 and so on.
Reserve price: A reserve price is the lowest price at which you are willing to sell your item. If you don’t want to sell your item below a certain price, you can set a reserve price. The amount of your reserve price is not disclosed to your bidders, but they will see that your auction has a reserve price and whether or not the reserve has been met. If a bidder does not meet that price, you are not obligated to sell your item.
Buy it now price: Buy it now disappears when bid exceeds the Buy now price for normal auction, or is lower than reverse auction.
Auction Start date: You have to put the date you want to start the auction on.
Auction End date: The time you will stop taking bids. After exceeding this time, people will not be able to bid on that product.
Email notifications - Email notifications for outbid note, auction won, payment reminder, auction fail, reserve fail, auction buy now, auction finish, vendor bid notification (bid not), customer bid notification, auction relist vendor notice.
Customer View - When the customer is logged in and winning an auction, item has winning badge on thumbnail
“My auctions” page - Customers can access their auctions page. Active and won auctions are listed.
