Watercolors!

My traditional landscape watercolors are most successful when I work plein air. It allows me to capture not only the local scenery but the experience of being in the moment. These works focus on what is beautiful in our existence and what is worthy of painting. With life’s many layers in full view, I allow the paint to flow to increase the dynamic connection between audience, artist and earth.

For the last several years I have been creating contemporary paper works using a variety of both handmade and milled papers. These contemporary pieces are my version of layered landscapes.

Most recently my life-long dream of an art studio in the woods is finally being realized as my husband and I build our off-the-grid place in the mountains.
