Weblight, Open Web Pages Faster

Weblight app is a tool to load pages faster on slow internet connections, mainly for mobile 2G users, as per the Official Google docs " Google shows faster, lighter pages to people searching on slow mobile connections in selected countries. To do this, we transcode (convert) web pages on the fly into a version optimized for slow networks, so that these pages load faster while saving data. These optimized pages preserve a majority of the relevant content and provide a link for users to view the original page. Our experiments show that optimized pages load four times faster than the original page and use 80% fewer bytes. Because these pages load so much faster, we also saw a 50% increase in traffic to these pages " on the page https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/6211428?hl=en


Usage:

1. Touch the web page link on any application then it will show browser list, select weblight and it will open the web blight trans-coded page

2. Enter any URL in the input box and tap the Browse button

Open in external option allows you to open the we blight pages in other browsers
