The Pravala Wi-Fi Access Management (WAM) system is a powerful connection management solution for service providers to offer best in class access for their mobile broadband clients. WAM features an enhanced network intelligence capability to optimize cellular-Wi-Fi offloading/onloading and roaming, with the ultimate goal to enhance consumer experience at all times.

At the heart of WAM is QNS TM, a comprehensive algorithm that analyzes in real time the end-to-end quality of experience (QoE) of both cellular and Wi-Fi networks and optimizes connectivity accordingly. WAM allows service providers to have full visibility and manageability of the client device at all times, whether the device is connected to the mobile or Wi-Fi network. With this capability, the operator can implement real-time actions based on policies stored onto Pravala’s policy server located in the IP cloud.

In addition to quality, the WAM solution can perform intelligent offloading and onloading based on time of day, location, specific Wi-Fi hotspots/SSIDs and special events. WAM features a comprehensive mapping function to allow the user to locate Wi-Fi hotspots, as well as an advertising/notification placement capability for the operator to perform targeted advertising based on a number of parameters including location, time of day, Wi-Fi SSID, etc.

Finally, Pravala provides a suite of analytical tools and reporting capabilities of user experience and traffic behaviour, as well as the quality and state of both mobile and Wi-Fi networks, to assist with network planning and business intelligence to enhance services and maximize revenue.
