The state of the music industry has forever changed. Artist development no
longer exists.

There are three labels left in the world. They control the creative market
of seven billion people on the plant. If you don't live in New York, Paris,
London, or Los Angeles, you have little chance of creating a working
business relationship with any one of the real decision-makers in the music
industry - - let alone locking for yourself a record deal.

An artist with an individual vision and a new, eclectic sound - - one that
does not mimic the corporate-tailored, industry-stamped Taylor Swift, Miley
Cyrus, Katy Perry or Lady Gaga’s - - or an artist not financed by a major
corporation, you are then an artist that stands little chance of securing a
record deal let alone making it in the market of today’s consumer social
media world. The public have become passive consumers with little desire to
challenge authority or question the artist with the “most Likes."

What is mass produced and what gets attention, what conforms to the status
quo, what gets the most likes must be good! So we are told by the American
Idols, the X Factors and yes the world's sole three record labels who all
tell us this is "revolutionary."

Conformity is not democracy. Democracy is not welcome in the Brave New
World of the music industry. The public has temporarily ceased to imagine
the possibility of real change, revolution, or innovation in music. The
public has enabled the information age to sooth it into becoming pavlovian
consumers but utterly passive audiences. Indeed, why challenge authority
when you can download it? What is mass marketed and what gets broadcast,
tumblred, vined, pintrested, and twittered must be good....because the sole
three record companies on the planet say so. Because the American Idols and
X Factors say so. Because the Voice says so.

We disagree

We, believe that it's not worth your time chasing what the mass consumer
wants or trying to decipher what "it" is or what will reassure a handful of
decision-making bean-counters at the world's three record companies. We do
not believe that dependence on a diet of American Idol, the Voice and X
Factor defines what is revolutionary.

You want to spend your time creating...connecting...converging and
releasing.

So do we.

That's why we decided to create a community dedicated to making strategic
partnerships around the globe, in the biggest music cities, with the a
multi-genre outlook: to share ideas, develop music, help manage product,
production and... RELEASE records through our Universal Distribution
Network with our partners... for our followers... for our community.

We are a bridge to that closed-off world of the final stop: The record
deal.

While other communities promise "assistance" and "opportunities" - - and all
for a fee - - it's the same deal that adds up to No Recording Deal. You pay
to chase and maybe, somehow, someday, acquire the always vanishing Holy
Grail, the record contract. These community sites are not record labels.
They have as much of a chance of locking you a “record deal” as you do by
yourself. But they do have a solid record when it comes to taking your
money.

We are, on the other hand, the one-stop shop! We are the community....the
connection...and the record contract.

WROM Radio Records Detroit was established as an expansion to the WROM
Media Network and is partnered with Mi5 Recordings/Universal Music
Group.The mission of WROM records is to cultivate a community environment
in which artists and media industry professionals can connect, create and
cultivate without the hinderance of standard boundaries.
