نبدا عن حياة الشيخ احمد العجمي :

الشيخ سعد بن سعيد الغامدي إمام وقارئ . من مواليد سنة 1387 هـ الموافق 1967م في مدينة الدمام عاصمة المنطقة الشرقية في المملكة العربية السعودية.

درس في مدينة الدمام جميع المراحل الدراسية. كان خلالها محباً للنشاط الشبابي، فقد شارك في المراكز الصيفية وحلقات تحفيظ القرآن الكريم والمكتبات، التي كانت بدورها تنمي المهارات عند الشباب ومن أشهر المهارات التي كانت تعتني بها هذه التجمعات الخيرية هي موهبة الإقراء والإنشاد. وقد سلك الشيخ في بدايته مهنة الإنشاد في عام 1405 هـ وقد برز الشيخ في هذا المجال. وله بعض الأناشيد التي لاقت قبولاً عند الناس كأشرطة أناشيد الدمام الأول والثاني ومن أشهر أناشيده (ملكنا هذه الدنيا قرونا) و(غربا)
تخرج الشيخ من جامعة الإمام محمد بن سعود الإسلامية بالإحساء (كلية الشريعة تخصص أصول الدين) عام 1410 هـ. ومنذ دخول الشيخ للجامعة كان حريصاً على مراجعة القرآن وإتقانه. ففي عام 1410 هـ أتم حفظ القرآن كاملاً. وقد برز الشيخ في ذلك الوقت كصاحب صوت جميل تلاوة القرآن الكريم.

تأثر الشيخ سعد الغامدي حفظه الله كثيرا بتلاوة الشيخ مروان بن عبد الرحمن القادري حفظه الله امام وخطيب جامع الشيخ علي المجدوعي حفظه الله الكائن في حي البادية أحد أحياء مدينة الدمام تلك التلاوة الهادئة البعيدة عن التكلف العذبة المؤثرة الدافعة للتدبر بطريقة سلسة وفي عام 1411 هـ أمّ الناس في صلاة التراويح وقد كانت بداية انطلاقه في عالم التلاوة، وخرج له أول إصدار يضم سورتي الأحزاب والزمر وبعدها تتابعت تلاواته وازداد إقبال الناس على متابعتها والاستماع لها. حصل الشيخ على إجازة الإسناد برواية حفص عن عاصم في عام 1417 هـ.
هو إمام جامع كانو بصورة عامة وقد أمّ في مساجد مختلفة من العالم أيضا كالنمسا وأمريكا وبريطانيا. وكما صلى إماماً في مملكة البحرين ودعي للصلاة في دولة الكويت في مسجدها المعروف بالمسجد الكبير ولكن حالت الظروف دون ذلك وفي عام 1430هـ صدر مرسوم ملكي بتعيينه اماماً مشاركاً في صلاة التراويح في المسجد النبوي
