개발자가 아닌 내가 국회의원 정보 플랫폼 정치넷(jungchi.net)을 직접 개발한 이유
- 정치인들을 감시하고 기록하는 인터넷 매체의 필요성을 느꼈습니다.
- 빅데이터를 활용하면 (정치인 연봉, 뉴스와 트위터, 법안 활동 내용) 여기저기 흩어져 있는 정치 관련 정보들을 모았을 때 기존에 알 수 없던 여론과 흐름을 예측해 볼 수 있지 않을까?
- 대부분의 국민들은 선거 때가 되서야 현역 의원이 누군지, 자기 지역구가 어딘지 알기 위해 정보를 검색하고 주로 단편적인 정보만 얻는 경우가 많음. 선거와 투표 관련해 자세한 정보를 얻는데 어려움을 느끼다 보면 정보를 찾는 노력을 포기하게 되면서 자신의 투표 행위에 가치를 느끼지 못하게 될 수 있다. 그렇게 되면 투표를 하지 않을 수 있는데...이런 악순환을 끊고 사람들의 투표 참여율을 높이고 싶다.
- 대형포털이나 특정 언론사의 어뷰징 기사나 뉴스 노출에서 공정성 문제를 발견, 편 집자의 의도가 배제된 뉴스 제공의 필요성을 느끼다. 중소규모 언론사의 뉴스 노출 이 공정하게 이뤄지는 환경을 만들고 싶었습니다.
