EcoMet: Chickadee Flocks

This manual presents an elementary procedure for observing the territorial behavior of birds of mixed chickadee flocks during the non-nesting period (in autumn and winter). The main of goal of the procedure is to track the flock’s movement within the forest, mapping speed and direction on the flock’s route. This data is used for determining the feeding territory of this flock. The procedure is applicable to the forest zone where at least one of the species of chickadee flocks can be found
