Littérature Africaine

RÉSUMÉ
La réflexion critique sur la production littéraire africaine écrite commence véritablement avec Roland Lebel dans son ouvrage Le livre du pays noir, anthologie de littérature africaine (1927). En étroite liaison avec le contexte sociopolitique, ce sont des positions fortement marquées du sceau de l’idéologie coloniale d’une part, et de l’autre, par la volonté de briser ce carcan, qui présideront fondamentalement à la réception des œuvres. La critique littéraire africaine naît donc en s’enracinant dans le débat politique relatif au problème colonial, ce qui l’a conduit à adopter l’attitude que lui commandait la situation. Pour sortir de cette situation, il faut s’engager résolument dans l’étude de ces littératures de façon autonome, pour elles-mêmes, avec comme exigence le souci de l’exhaustivité. Dans le champ littéraire africain, ces études doivent avoir pour socle, non pas une histoire de la littérature négro-africaine, mais des histoires spécifiques des diverses littératures africaines. Critical reflection on the written African literature really began with Roland Lebel in his book The Black Book country, African literature anthology (1927). In close liaison with the socio-political context, they are strongly positions marked with the seal of the colonial ideology on the one hand and on the other, by the desire to break the shackles which basically preside at the reception of the works. The African literary criticism thus born in rooting in the political debate on the colonial problem, which led him to adopt the attitude that commanded the situation. To overcome this situation, we must resolutely engage in the study of these literatures independently for themselves, with the requirement concern for completeness. In the African literary field, these studies should be to stand, not a history of Black African literature, but specific stories of various African literatures.
