Wooden pallets are usually not made of the highest quality wood but they can be reused in various ways, and save on some materials and give a sense of pride in your own little recycling work of crafts. Even if you do not have a palette lying around, you can find a local company that will be only too happy to part with their piles of unwanted palettes and may even offer you money to do so. One word of caution, if you are going to use a wooden pallet for an outdoor project, you would be wise to treat wood with some kind of protection.

Instead of throwing your wooden pallets away, reuse them as pulling coffee tables, shelves, cabinets, chairs, sofas and bed bases and lots of other furniture for your home. Outside they can be used as decking, garden furniture even chair swing. All that's needed is some nails and a hammer and maybe a saw. Wooden slats can be taken apart and reassembled or used just because they are. You need to be careful however, as this palette is sometimes treated with hazardous chemicals. It is wise to check where your wooden pallets have come from and what it is used for. Always thoroughly wash with soapy water and allow it to dry completely before using it in your home. If you are not sure of its origin you would be wise to cover the wood with a layer of varnish or paint.
