ابن رشد

يسميه الإفرنج Averroes واشتهر باسم ابن رشد الحفيد[4] (مواليد 14 إبريل 1126م، قرطبة - توفي 10 ديسمبر 1198م، مراكش) هو فيلسوف و طبيب و فقيه و قاضي و فلكي و فيزيائي أندلسي. نشأ في أسرة من أكثر الأسر وجاهة في الأندلس والتي عرفت بالمذهب المالكي، حفظ موطأ مالك، وديوان المتنبي[5].ودرس الفقه على المذهب المالكي والعقيدة على المذهب الأشعري[6]. يعد ابن رشد من أهم فلاسفة الإسلام. دافع عن الفلسفة وصحح للعلماء وفلاسفة سابقين له كابن سينا والفارابي فهم بعض نظريات أفلاطون وأرسطو. قدمه ابن طفيل لأبي يعقوب خليفة الموحدين فعينه طبيباً له ثم قاضياً في قرطبة.[7]. تولّى ابن رشد منصب القضاء في أشبيلية، وأقبل على تفسير آثار أرسطو، تلبية لرغبة الخليفة الموحدي أبي يعقوب يوسف، تعرض ابن رشد في آخر حياته لمحنة حيث اتهمه علماء الأندلس والمعارضين له بالكفر و الإلحاد ثم أبعده أبو يوسف يعقوب إلى مراكش وتوفي فيها (1198 م)
