אשבול

אֶשְׁבּוֹל הוא מושב הממוקם בצפון הנגב ליד הערים נתיבות ורהט והוא חלק ממועצה אזורית מרחבים. המושב הוקם בשנת 1955 במקום בו הייתה לפני כן חווה חקלאית של חברת "אשבול", המושב שימר את שם החברה בשמו. היישוב נקרא בתחילה "שובל ג'", ואוכלס על ידי עולים יוצאי כורדיסטן (מעיראק ופרס), ששהו זמן מה במעברת הדר רמתיים כיום גרים במושב דתיים וחילונים. הוא משתייך לתנועת המושבים. משמעותו של שם היישוב הוא "שיבולת תירס".
