לכיש

מושב לכיש נוסד בשנת 1955 בידי גרעין של בני מושבים וקיבוצים. בתחילה הוקם כהיאחזות נח"ל, ולאחר מכן כ"מושבוץ" (מושב-קיבוץ) במסגרת מדיניות ההתיישבות באזור הספר שהנהיגו תנועת המושבים ומדינת ישראל. המושב נקרא כך על שם היישוב ההיסטורי העתיק לכיש. תל לכיש, שריד מתקופות קדומות, נישא עד היום בגאווה ליד הכניסה למושב. בלכיש 66 משקים חקלאיים, כולם פעילים. כ-70 משפחות נוספות מתגוררות בהרחבות המושב, חלקן הגדול עובד במשקי המשפחה. כמו כן אושרה הרחבה נוספת, והעבודות בשטח המוקצה לה נמצאות כעת בעיצומן. הגידול העיקרי בלכיש הוא ענבי מאכל המשווקים תחת המותג "ענבי טלי". בשטחי המושב נטועים מטעים על פני כ-5000 דונם, רובם המכריע כרמים. במקום מגדלים גם פרחי שעווה לייצוא, ויש גם משק רפת חלב, לולים, משק דבש ועוד.
