בית עובד

בֵּית עוֹבֵד הוא מושב עובדים בקרבת נס ציונה השייך למועצה אזורית גן רווה ובו כ-300 תושבים. היישוב הוקם בשנת 1933 כחלק ממבצע התיישבות האלף שנערך בשנות ה-30,במטרה להקים יישובי פועלים ליד המושבות הגדולות.
זאב וילנאי כותב כי מקור השם הוא בפסוק בספר משלי: "עֹבֵד אַדְמָתוֹ יִשְׂבַּע לָחֶם" (י"ב, יא)מקור נוסף לשם הוא היישוב הערבי ביארת עבוד (שמשמעו פרדס עבוד) ששכן במקום בו שוכן כיום המושב.
אוכלוסיית בית עובד היא קהילה מגוונת המורכבת הן מבני דור המייסדים (על משפחותיהם) והן מתושבים חדשים שנקלטו במרוצת השנים. Beth worker is a moshav near Ness Ziona regional council Rave garden with about 300 residents. The settlement was established in 1933 as part of Operation Millennium Settlements held in the 30s, in order to establish working communities near major colonies.
Zeev Vilnai wrote that the name is a verse in Proverbs: "Abd Admto Isba Lhm" (XII, k) there is another source that I clarified the Arab community work (which means orchard cultivation) which was located where now stands the seat.
The working population is a diverse community made up of both members of the founding generation (and their families), and new residents were absorbed over the years.
